Electronic Voting
Electronic voting offers convenience for all voters, including seasonal residents and those living outside the Township. All eligible voters in Limerick Township will receive a Voter Instruction Letter by mail and will be able to vote from the comfort of their own home. This method eliminates the need for polling stations, advance polls, and proxy voting, while providing a fully accessible voting option.

How to Vote Electronically
- Check the Voters’ List to ensure you are on it, and your mailing address is up to date.
- Wait for your Voter Instruction Letter to arrive in the mail 3-4 business days before the voting period begins
- Keep the Voter Instruction Letter in a safe place until voting opens on Monday, October 19 at 10:00 a.m.
- You will have 8 Days to vote, but do not wait until the last minute in case you have difficulty logging into the voting system
- Open your Voter Instruction Letter and find the PIN number that will let you access to the voting system.
- Choose your method of Voting: Electronic (Telephone or Internet) or In Person at a kiosk at the Voter Help Centre.
If you did not receive your Voter Instruction Letter in the mail by October 9, you will be able to obtain one from the Municipal Office – 89 Limerick Lake Road., Gilmour, ON K0L 1W0.
If you do not have access to a touch-tone telephone or internet at your home, visit the Voter Help Centre, and use their touch-screen kiosks or a laptop computers. Assistance is provided.

Internet/Telephone Voting

- Visit the voting website provided in your Voter Instruction Letter by entering the address into the address bar at the top of your internet browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge etc.)
- Enter your PIN (Do Not Include Spaces)
- Enter your date of birth
- Complete the Captcha challenge as shown on the screen
- If you receive an error after several attempts to login, this may be because your birth date information is incorrect in our Voting System. You will need a new PIN. Please contact us at clerk@township.limerick.on.ca or call our Voter Help Line for assistance (# to follow) or come to the Voter Help Centre at 89 Limerick Lake Road., Gilmour, ON K0L 1W0 during the Voting Period.
- Follow the prompts through all contests, and complete your ballot by pressing Submit Ballot

Listen carefully to the all of the prompts for the voting;

Your vote will be counted after voting for all the races on your ballot (e.g. Mayor, Councillor, School Board Trustee)

If you are concerned that your ballot may not have been counted, you can attempt to call in a second time with your PIN. If your vote has been properly submitted originally, the system will advise that you have already voted.
- If you have not received your Voter Instruction Letter within 3-4 days of the voting period beginning please contact the Clerk’s Office at 613-338-2811 ext. 277 or 211. Or come the Voter Help Centre on October 19-22 from 8:30am to 4:00pm and October 26th from 8:30am to 8:00pm and we can issue you one and you can vote there.
In-Person Voting Kiosks
Vote in-person at the Voter Help Centre at the Limerick Township Municipal Office – 89 Limerick Lake Road., Gilmour, ON K0L 1W0
- Visit the Voter Help Centre and bring your Voter Instruction Letter with you if you received one
- Once arrived, Election Staff will guide you to the electronic touchscreen voting equipment or laptop
- If you need assistance, Election Staff can help! Just ask and we can help you type in your PIN or Date of Birth.
- We can assist if you did not receive a Voter Instruction Letter.
